Frequently asked questions
What is County?
A shared countdown app. You keep lists of the people and events you're looking forward to, each counting down to the second, and share them with the people who care about them too.
Do I need to create an account?
You sign in with your Google account. There's no separate password, and County only uses your name, email address and photo.
Who can see my lists?
Only you, and the people you invite to a list by email. Lists are never public.
What can the people I invite do?
They can add countdowns, edit or delete the ones they added, comment, and invite others. Only you, as the owner, can rename or delete the list and see or remove the people on it.
Will I be notified when a countdown arrives?
Yes. Within about a minute of a countdown reaching zero, County emails the list's owner and everyone it's shared with.
Can I add a date that has already passed?
Yes. It shows as already arrived. No email is sent for it, since it never counted down.
Which languages does County support?
English and Hebrew. Choose in Settings; it follows you to every device.
How do I delete a list?
Open the list and choose the bin at the top, then confirm. Only the list's owner can do this, and it removes the list and its countdowns for everyone.
